They say every picture tells a story and that you can tell a person by their face but does a kind smile really make for a kind person? Can you really look into a person's eyes and see their soul? If you can, what about actors, who make a living out of pretending to be someone they're not? How can you REALLY tell a person? Look at their hands.

You can almost tell a persons' occupation my looking at their hands. Are they smooth and perfect? Or are they roughed and calloused, battered by years of labor. Are the nails perfectly manicured or are they stained with years of tilling the earth or toiling under the hood? Do a person's hands betray their vanity? Think about it...we see gorgeous movie stars walking the red carpet, seemingly defying age yet when they bring their hands to brush a lock of expertly styled hair away from their line-free face you see it. Their true age, coming through the backs of her hands. Not that aging is a bad thing, nor having rough hands. These hands can love and nurture all the same. And what of those who were born with no hands or who lost their hands fighting to give us the freedom to work and love with the hands we have? Think of them the next time you complain of sore hands or blisters at work or at play. They have no hands to tell their story, their person, yet there's is the one told loudest of all.
