Irish Earth Goddess

I discovered HNT through my old high school friends, One Biscuit Hound and Nude Memphis. My husband and I had a lot of fun posing, cropping, experimenting and exhibiting ourselves. It was a new, playful stage for us.

I had to pull all my identifiable pictures, however, because I got a new job that limits my freedom of speech. So, ironically, while I put on my uniform to help protect our American rights, I have to surrender some of my favorite civil liberties. It's a price to pay that I get a trifle pissy about, but ultimately, a price that is worth it to be where I am and for the privilege of doing the job I get to do.

But I missed being free to be me, to be comfortable in my own skin, and to own that right to be loved as-is. So, finally, I said "Fuck you" to another cliff, set up a whole 'nother email and Blogger account, cropped or blacked out identifying info, salvaged the comments, and threw (most of) myself back out there. It brought back a lot of fun memories of the photo shoots!

My absolute fave was easy to pick - it took a while to layer the books and CD's juuuuust right, but it was fun to celebrate the end of the semester and rejoice that I was finally on the right track in school...and, (bonus!) taunt one of my best buds in the process, since she was still slogging through law school! It was harder to narrow the 2nd down - there were so many fun ones, and I still have a lot of work to get them all back up in my new, (hopefully) safe spot. True to my Gemini self, I threw in TWO second place shots that show the essence of me, and I'm making poor Boss Os have to be the bad guy and decide if he's gonna conform to his own rules or let me get away with a bonus! ;-P I'm a Student of life, a Warrior, a Mother, and a whole lot more on top of that.
